(UCLA Alumni Preferred | International Relations Background)
Location: Los Angeles (Westside preferred) | Hybrid
Compensation: Competitive salary + performance bonus + growth upside

About the Role
We are seeking a high-caliber Executive Assistant to work directly with the Founder & CEO of
a fast-moving technology startup. This is not a traditional EA role—it is a front-row seat to
company building, capital formation, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a UCLA undergraduate alum with a concentration in International
Relations who is intellectually curious, globally aware, and thrives in environments that require
discretion, speed, and sound judgment. You will act as a force multiplier—anticipating needs,
managing complexity, and ensuring the CEO operates at maximum effectiveness.

This role is ideal for someone considering a future path in strategy, venture capital,
international business, policy, or entrepreneurship.

Core Responsibilities

Executive & Strategic Support

  • Manage the CEO’s complex calendar across investor meetings, partnerships, travel, and
    personal commitments
  • Serve as gatekeeper and prioritization partner—filtering requests and surfacing what truly
    matters
  • Prepare briefings, background research, and summaries for meetings (investors, advisors,
    partners)
  • Track follow-ups, commitments, and action items across multiple workstreams
    Communications & Coordination
  • Draft and manage high-stakes communications (investors, board members, external
    partners)
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, PR, and external advisors
  • Represent the CEO professionally in scheduling, correspondence, and logistics

Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct rapid research on global markets, geopolitical trends, policy issues, and
    competitive landscapes
  • Prepare concise memos and one-pagers for internal decision-making
  • Support international travel planning with cultural, political, and business context
    Operational & Personal Management
  • Oversee travel logistics (domestic and international)
  • Handle confidential personal and professional matters with discretion
  • Support ad-hoc projects that cut across operations, fundraising, and strategy

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required

  • UCLA undergraduate alum (preferred) with a concentration in International Relations,
Political Science, Global Studies, or related field
  • Would be great if pursuing an MA or MBA in International Relations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research, synthesis, and critical-thinking abilities
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and judgment
  • Obsessively organized; calm under pressure
  • Tech-savvy (Google Workspace, Notion, Slack; CRM familiarity a plus)

Strong Plus

  • Exposure to venture capital, startups, international organizations, or think tanks
  • Multilingual or international living/study experience
  • Interest in global affairs, markets, and power dynamics
  • Westside / Westwood proximity

Why This Role Is Different

  • Direct access to the CEO and real decision-making
  • Exposure to investors, founders, and senior operators
  • Steep learning curve and mentorship
